Seesaw needed an explainer video for their premium product, directed towards school administrators and decision makers. Without a video producer in-house, they turned to me for creative development and brand-focused video creation.
Combining client relations and my ability to oversee projects from concept to completion while being a hands-on creative, we were able to execute on the company’s creative vision.
The brief was simple: create a 3-5 minute animated video explaining and convincing administrators to consider the “Seesaw for Schools” premium product. Provided with the initial script, screen recordings, and brand assets, I was tasked to bring the deliverable from conception to finished product.
No problem. I’m comfortable leading design projects with limited direction or oversight.
Adhering to Seesaw’s brand guidelines, the script was finalized, voiceover artist procured, and video storyboarded. With audio and visual content green-lit, it was time to pull it all together.
The VO talent was directed in voice & tone, assets were pulled into post-production, and storytelling began. Utilizing my expert-proficiency in the entire Adobe suite of software, tools used included Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Audition.
Incorporating multiple rounds of feedback from the client with a positive attitude, the client’s vision was brought to life, deadlines were met across the board, and the video garnered over 137,000 views on YouTube.
With our relationship built and strengthened, the client returned for another video, this one thanking teachers and educators at the height of the pandemic.
A large stockpile of client-provided footage was provided but needed a gentle hand to pull an impactful piece together. Setting the right tone and mood through video is second nature to me, and this project was no sweat.
Posted to YouTube at the end of 2020, the video garnered 33,000 views, 705 likes, and a pouring in of gratitude and comments, including from the client.
Job well done.
